POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President (VP) will serve as an integral member of the executive team and will be responsible for operationalizing our strategic plans. This highly visible and strategic executive will provide leadership across finance, talent and culture (formerly HR), facilities, IT, and office management.
The VP will bring innovative thinking and a collaborative spirit to ensure administrative functions operate effectively across internal teams and external partners. This leader will serve as a strategic advisor to the President & CEO and as a liaison to relevant board committees, presenting operational insights and performance indicators.
In partnership with the President & CEO and executive team, this individual will play a key role in driving the continued growth of BGCGW and collaborating across departments to ensure administrative excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following)
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in building and leading functional teams across finance, HR, facilities, office management, and IT that support and advance organizational strategy.
Strategic Leadership and Board/External Engagement
Serve as a core member of the executive leadership team and a key partner to the CEO in executing BGCGW’s long-term strategic vision.
Develop high-performing teams through mentorship and goal setting aligned with BGCGW’s strategic priorities.
Define operational goals and performance processes across administrative functions.
Advise on strategic and business planning, offering operational solutions.
Lead engagement with board committees related to finance and talent/culture.
Ensure seamless support from administrative teams across all BGCGW program areas.
Serve as staff liaison to the BGCGW Foundation Board and coordinate with financial partners.
Finance
Lead financial planning and budgeting to support organizational sustainability.
Oversee risk management strategies, focusing on financial and legal risk mitigation.
Drive data-informed decisions using key performance indicators and operational metrics.
Manage budgets and resource allocation across facilities, IT, and fleet operations.
Talent and Culture
Develop and implement strategies to attract, develop, engage, and retain staff.
Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, innovation, and high performance.
Establish and maintain best-in-class workplace culture and values.
Ensure strong employee training, recognition, and benefit programs.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience overseeing finance, HR, facilities/operations, and IT. Nonprofit and youth development sector experience (e.g., Boys & Girls Clubs) preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in finance or accounting. Advanced degree (MBA, MPA, etc.) preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex operations and adapt to evolving priorities.
Strategic thinker with proven ability to convert vision into executional success.
Expertise in budget development, accrual and cash reporting, financial forecasting, and audit preparation.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
Strong HR acumen in recruitment, retention, training, benefits, and legal compliance.
High emotional intelligence, conflict resolution skills, and effective communication abilities.
Entrepreneurial leadership style with strong influencing and team-building skills.
Technologically adept with experience in reporting, data tracking, and analytics.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to speak, hear, and use a computer for typical business functions.
Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
Must be able to travel independently between sites and attend events outside regular hours.
