Regarding Your Privacy

At GOVJOBS (GJC), your privacy is a matter of the highest priority. Consequently, GOVJOBS has been designed to make the vast majority of its information and services available without the user having to provide any private information. In addition, GJC does not use "cookies" or any other techniques to collect information about you without your personal knowledge. However, some private information is collected for statistical purposes and, under certain circumstances, the user may volunteer private information in order to access special features and products in GJC. For this reason, GJC maintains a two part Privacy Policy: 1) Part I pertains to private information collected by GJC for statistical purposes, and 2) Part II pertains to private information that the user voluntarily offers and controls to access certain features and products within GJC.

Part One: Statistical Information
The GJC policy governing statistical information is as follows:

1. Any private statistical information collected by GJC will be limited to non-personal information that is used to identify user preferences and make program enhancements.

2. Specifically this information includes your Internet domain, type of browser, type of operating system, the date and time of your visit to the web site, specific pages you visited, and the previous web site that you visited if it was linked to GJC.

Part Two: Private Information that the User Volunteers

The GJC policy governing private information that is voluntarily provided and stored by the user is as follows:

1. Any private information (e.g. resume content) that the user inputs into GJC will be preceded by a clear notice indicating how that information will be safeguarded and used.

2. Private information obtained by GJC will not be shared with any outside organization without the user's express permission and will not be used for any commercial purpose.
